We all have bad habits – it’s part of life and of being a human. Here are five bad habits that you need to stop now as they will impact your life in so many ways that you can’t even begin to imagine!
- Biting your nails! I am so guilty of this. I don’t even know why I do it (apart from when watching an England football game) but I hate the habit and I know I need to stop. Not only is it unattractive whilst doing it – but it can leave your hands looking uncared for and even infected. If you can stop I would recommend you try – I am using a fidget cube now when I feel that my hands are getting antsy.
- Smoking! Do I really need to tell you why you need to stop smoking? Apart from it being insanely expensive it is damaging your body in so many ways. It also leaves you and your clothes and belongings smelling of smoke and stains your teeth and hands. I could go on, I really could, but I won’t – you aren’t stupid. I understand that smoking is an addiction but it is so bad for you and I would implore you to give giving up a go!
- Buying lunch every day at work. Another one I am really guilty of. I am spending ridiculous amounts of money on food when I could meal prep and save myself a small fortune in cash, as well as in calories by being organised and cooking my own lunches and taking them with me. It’s not like I work in a hole in the ground, there’s a fridge, a microwave, tables and chairs etc! I don’t know why I do it! Actually – yes I do! It’s because I’m lazy! There’s no point beating around the bush.
These are just a few ideas of habits that perhaps you should consider giving up. The principles behind them can be applied to most habits (expense, health etc) and so even if you aren’t guilty of any of these – have a think about what bad habits you might have and see if you can do anything about them!
